New Life Church’s beliefs are grounded in biblical truths and principles from the Holy Bible. God’s infallible word is the foundation of our doctrine and ministry.
- The Godhead (Trinity): One sovereign God in three distinct persons. God the Father, Jehovah, Creator of all; God the Son, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer; and God the Holy Spirit, who convicts, empowers and guide believers.
- Salvation: Reconciled to God by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation delivers humanity from sin and the consequences of sin (hell/eternal death).
- Baptism in the Holy Spirit: A distinct experience from salvation/water baptism, empowering believers for Christian service.
- Speaking in Tongues: Glossolalia (speaking in unknown languages). To edify (build up) the church, prayer language used for personal edification and demonstrate God’s power.
- Five-Fold Ministry: Five distinct leadership roles given by Christ to the Church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. These roles exist to equip believers for ministry, build up the church body, and cultivate unity in faith.
- Divine Healing: The supernatural act of God restoring physical, emotional, or spiritual wholeness. A privilege of believers, tied to Christ’s redemptive work.
- Sacraments: Communion (the Lord’s Supper) A command from Jesus, “As often as you do this you show forth my death and suffering”. Do this in remembrance of me serving as a memorial of his sacrifice and a means of grace.
